Restoring Humanity: Global Voices Calling for Action

The synthesis report for the World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) was released on 5 October 2015. The report represents the culmination of an extraordinary undertaking. In all, more than 23,000 people were involved in the consultation process, with stakeholder, regional and thematic consultations taking place in 151 countries and more than 400 written submissions from around the world.

The Executive Summary presents the main proposals from the consultations, grouped under five key action areas: Dignity, Safety, Resilience, Partnerships and Finance. Building on this foundation, the WHS Global Consultation in Geneva, 14-16 October, will be a pivotal moment for stakeholders to rally around the major changes that are needed to ensure that the Summit delivers solutions for the millions of people affected by crises and disasters.
